OQC’s most notable achievement in the data centre industry has been spearheading the integration of quantum computers into colocation data centres and high-performance computing (HPC) environments. OQC collaborates with industry leaders like CenterSquare (previously) Cyxtera and Equinix and has successfully designed and deployed OQC’s groundbreaking 32-qubit Quantum Computing platform, OQC Toshiko, into a data centre setting, not only expanded our understanding of the data centre landscape but also refining our approach to design interfaces.

Intelligent Data Centres speaks with Jonathan Burnett about his journey into technology and data centres, beginning with a childhood passion for technology, sci-fi, and computer games. This fascination led him to pursue a degree and eventually a PhD in physics, where he explored quantum devices, cryogenics, and microwave measurements. Jonathan is Technical Director of Hardware Engineering at OQC.
