SparQ to fire up quantum readiness in the UK
The SparQ program, initiated by the National Quantum Computing Centre (NQCC), in collaboration with Oxford Quantum Circuits (OQC), aims to propel quantum computing innovation within the UK. By providing access to quantum computers like OQC Lucy, we hope to help support businesses and researchers in exploring quantum computing’s applications.
Simon Plant, deputy director of innovation at NQCC, emphasises the program’s inclusivity, catering not only to quantum experts but to industry end-users as well, fostering a community focused on real-world applications.
The collaboration between NQCC and OQC addresses the pressing need for early exploration and understanding of quantum computing’s potential applications. By offering accessible quantum computing resources and fostering collaboration, SparQ not only facilitates technological advancement but also cultivates a shared language and understanding, bridging the gap between research and industry, promoting innovation and societal benefits.
We are excited to be a part of this initiative, which not only closely aligns with our mission to bring quantum out of the lab and into the hands of humanity but to help spearhead and accelerate quantum readiness in the UK.
As quantum technology continues to evolve, initiatives like this will play a crucial role in building a robust ecosystem that supports the transition from lab to market, positioning the UK at the forefront of quantum computing innovation.
