This statement is made in accordance with the provisions of the UK Modern Slavery Act.
Oxford Quantum Circuits Limited (‘OQC’) is committed to upholding human rights and dignity in the way it operates. We recognise that modern slavery is a global issue, and we are committed to playing our part in supporting its eradication. As part of this commitment, OQC has aligned itself with observing processes and practices that are committed to international standards, including observing the United Nations (UN) Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights.
Our commitment to the eradication of modern slavery is unyielding; it is why we have created internal policies and procedures that help combat all forms of its existence in our business. They include:
- Our recruitment and people management processes designed to ensure that all prospective employees are legally entitled to work in the UK and to safeguard employees from any abuse or coercion.
- Our staff being paid well and no less than the minimum living wage. We go further to ensure that all staff are offered benefits that support their mental and physical health, including but not limited to, medical insurance and WeCare which provides crisis support and life events counselling to help with a range of traumatic experiences.
- Establishing a Grievance and Whistleblowing Policy which details how our staff can raise their concerns should they have any. We also want our employees to be assured that full investigation(s) are taken seriously, and carried out, with none of our staff suffering from any kind of demotion or discrimination as a result of informing us about their concerns.
- Establishing a Dignity at Work Policy and procedure that promotes diversity, as well as mutual respect as a core value to our business.
We also expect all our contractors, suppliers, and other business partners to adopt the same high standards that we do. For this reason, we have created a Supplier Code of Conduct to help support and maintain our business ethos which we expect to run across our supply chains. By undertaking due diligence in our activities and having proactive policies in place, OQC is fully committed to combatting all forms of modern slavery and safeguarding the rights of all those we work with.
Yours sincerely,
Gerald Mullally
